Hmmm . . . . more food for thought! I understand the idea of using a snatch block but I am not sure how I would mount the winch to the coupler on the trailer. Yes, the winch is powered by a battery -- I just take my spare battery off the trailer and put it next to the winch. If the winch were on the tongue, somehow, I could easily hook the winch to the spare while it is still on the tongue.
