There’s a HUGE variance in the weather depending on where on the island you are. Campbell River, BC gets on average 14089 mm (55.5 in) of rainfall per year, the Victoria BC area gets 583 mm (23 inches) of rain a year, almost 1/3rd and it’s only about 240 km (150 miles) south. Victoria gets on average 308 sunny days a year.
Our place just west of Victoria gets far sunnier & drier weather than our place in Toronto.
