Wondering how many are planning for 2017?
After reading this thread on Where are you headed in 2016? it made me wonder are there folks here already planning for 2017? Or is it too early to think about it? How long ahead do you start planning?...

Oh yes, 2017 will be different for sure. Traveling will not start till July.
This is because in June 2017 Bermuda will be the site of The 35th Americas Cup sailing races. It is going to be huge. Three teams are already here setting up bases & practicing with their extremely fast catarmarans.
But that is not all. A few of the J boats from the 1930s era will be here. The replical of the original America which won the cup from England will be here. Also in June will be the Tall Ships on a stop over on their way to the East Coast. Still not all. There will be well over 150 boats arriving in the Marion, MA to Bermuda yacht race.
I am not a sailor. I am very much a boater, licensed commercial skipper, so I am planning on overdosing on spectacular sights on the water next June 2017 either working in some capacity with AC35 or out in my own small boat watching.
After all of that aquatic feasting the plan is to head to Alaska. Never been there from summer into early fall.
