Snowbirding may not be all "Sunshine and Rainbows" but it sure does take all the guess work out of when to dodge the cold for a warm southern vacation.
Yesterday we biked to a restaurant for a late brunch, then biked along the Gulf coast for a good long way. Caught the shuttle back to the park, visited with friends (one of the topics was the diminishing snowbirds and if the park would fill this winter,) worked on my fishing gear, grilled a NY strip supper outside, then kicked back for some TV and went to bed.
Not vacation mode by any means (but who can afford that all winter?) but not such a bad way (retirement lifestyle) to avoid "Life Threatening Cold Ahead" winter's either.
