The National Weather Service in Brownsville has issued a Wind
Chill Advisory... which is in effect from 2 am to 6 am CST Monday.
* Wind chill values... 25 to 30 across Zapata and Kenedy counties
and 28 to 32 across Starr and Hidalgo counties.
* Timing... late tonight into early Monday morning.
* Impact... residents venturing out should dress warmly. Several
layers of clothing will insulate you better than a single coat
or jacket.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Wind Chill Advisory is issued when wind chill index values will
drop to 30 or lower for at least 2 hours for the Rio Grande
Valley and 25 degrees or lower for 2 or more hours for the Rio
Grande plains and northern ranch lands... with winds of 10 mph or
greater.

portions of Hidalgo County.

crops. Plan to cover or bring indoors these plants during the
next 24 hours.

A freeze watch is issued for the potential of 2 or more hours of
temperatures at or below 32 degrees within 24 to 48 hours.
