Yellowstone again...

Spent an hour or so reading posts concerning Yellowstone but never found a clear answer to my questions.

I know I want to stay inside the park, leaning toward Bridge Bay. On the website it lists the limit for RV's at 40 feet. I come in at 42 feet, will I have any issues or are they not kidding about that 40 feet max limit? Also I have a toy hauler wich is tall, any concerns with clearance?

  • Nope. Sorry. The length is the LOA. LOA to them is bumper to bumper, truck & trailer. Tried 2 weeks ago for Bridge Bay myself for the end of July. No luck.

At 55'LOA I squeezed into Bridge Bay in 08. No reservations that time. Must have been extremely lucky.

Try them on the phone. You might get lucky.
  • They don't come out and use a tape measure on your RV. The problem is that Fishing Bridge sites are very narrow and tight. If you can get into the site I doubt anyone will complain.

  • At Fishing Bridge, no problem with the height (mostly) and the extra 2' - just make sure you're backed in snug and as far back as you can go. You should be ok.

Someone who has been there quite recently will be along to answer your question more in depth!
