- The_KrocExplorerWhen you get to Jackson be sure to take in the Bar J Wrangler Chuckwagon dinner show in nearby Wilson WY. We always stay at Colter Bay in the Tetons and we do the southern loop of Yellowstone from there. Then we stay in a West Yellowstone Campground to see the Northern loops of Yellowstone. If we're lucky, we get an electric site in Baker's Hole NP campground a couple of miles North of W Yellowstone

- BracesExplorerGoogle YNP Forums and the other things that come up at that site like Trip Advisor. Lots of good specialized info there. We have been there several times but last year we hired a great private guide who knew the park and surrounding area like the back of her hand and was able to show us more animals than we ever were able to see on our own. A little pricey at about $400/day plus gratuity but she also had great scopes and binocs and had a morning snack and lunch. Well worth it to us. I will probably call here again next time we go.

leesan, are you hikers? If so, there are lots of trails with few folks!!
As said - generally if you walk a 100 yards off/away from the Asphalt you will be likely people free (Carry Bear Spray):)
Best of Luck,

- 2gypsies1Explorer IIINot sure of your question. If you are there to tour the parks then drive every road there is in the parks.
Each park is completely different. We enjoy the hiking in the Tetons and definitely take a easy float trip down the Snake River in the park and you just might see a moose in the water with you. We did!
With our 40' motorhome we've stayed in Yellowstone at Mammoth, Madison and Bridge Bay campgrounds.
In the Tetons we love Gros Ventre campground.
Each national park has a wonderful web site giving things to do, campground info, maps, special alerts, road issues, etc. Study the site thoroughly.

https://www.nps.gov/grte/index.htm - BB_TXNomadIf you are wanting full hookups be aware the only RV park in YNP with full hookups is Fishing Bridge RV park and it is closed for renovations thru 2019. West Yellowstone is best option, but I would make reservations well in advance.
How long for each park is highly dependent on each person. If you just want to see the main attractions around the Grand Loop in YNP, you can do that in two days. If you want to “explore” those attractions and other sights off the main loop road, you could spend many days there. - LwiddisExplorer IIThere is no place in Yellowstone or the Grand Tetons I wouldn't want to see again and no place I haven't seen that I don't want to see. Follow a tourist bus if all you want to see are the "buzz" places.
