Sometimes, it's not about "seeing" it's about letting it into your soul. If you just quickly go from sight to sight, you'll miss the emotional experience.
A writer once went to Niagara Falls (back in the late 1800s - early 1900s) to see the "amazing falls", she arrived quickly, experienced the commercialization, looked at the falls, and then left thinking "big deal". She couldn't understand the big deal. Finally, she went back. This time, she found a quiet spot where she could sit and just watch the falls. She spent a day there. When she left, she discovered that the fall WERE amazing and that she couldn't imagine not experiencing them.
I think this is the trick with most natural experiences. You have to give it time to get into your soul. Rather than taking one day to see "Lewis Falls, the paint pots and steaming pools near Yellowstone Lake, the big waterfall in the canyon, some bison, a couple of bears, and Old Faithful", try spending one day seeing just ONE of those things. Watching moving water is a mesmerizing thing - it becomes a part of you. Spending a day watching the movement of light and shadows on a scene gets into your soul.
