Yes it is worth the vacation time. There is much more to the park than just "Old Faithful" .. yeah it is neat, but not the best part. The park is huge and just driving around it can take hours.
We used one day just to see the different water falls. Another day to see the gysers and mud pots. We took a day to go down to the Tetons which is so close it would be crazy not too go there.
We stayed in West Yellowstone and took in a rodeo too. We came back through Cody and spent a day there also. Being from the midwest our entire family had a great time. I would do it all over without hesitaion.
