Yosemite National Park campgrounds
Planning on visiting Yosemite in early August. If we can't get reservations in any of the parks campgrounds can anyone suggest alternative campgrounds.

- Yes March 25th for August stay.
- Haven't the August lottery already passed, in February if my recollection is right. The lotteries run six months before the date. It's been awhile since we camped there so I could be wrong.
Most campgrounds are on the west side of the park and they are a long drive from the Valley, we haven't used any of them. There is an Escapees parks out there.
Most of the in park cg have limited RV sites, North Pines was the best IIRC. And for longer RV's even that cg has few sites.
