Yosemite RVing

What are the chances of getting a space first come first serve in late Sep or early Oct?
My signature contains my equipment. Without disconnecting the dolly I am about 35' overall with the van unloaded.
  • Lower Pines has one space available right now starting on Oct 2nd for 5 nights. Site 027.

Other than this, I only found one night open in the three main campgrounds.

    Probably a cancellation... Move quickly!

P.S. I'll be in North Pines Sept 18, 19 & 20. I hope the smoke is gone by then!!!
  • Normally, not a chance for a site big enough for your MH, due to them being reserved 6 months ago.

But if the fires are pumping smoke into the Valley, I'm sure there were some cancellations.
  • I believe I read the Yosemite is one of the national parks being threatened by the wildfires right now. It's also very hard to breath because of the smoke. Saw some pics and it was thick smoke that made it look like it was foggy. Not sure I would want to spend vacation in that.
  • Things slow down a bit after school starts back up, even better in October so your chances are pretty good. It does depend on how many nights you're looking for. For one night its a really good possibility. For 3+ nights in a row you'll most likely still have to move from site to site as they become available. Keep in mind that its really smoky in Yosemite valley right now and the waterfalls are drying up. Good luck!
