Yosemite Trailer Length restrictions - Upper Pines Site 22

Excited I booked a reservation at Yosemite, however I was not paying attention and booked site 22 in upper pines for an RV not a Travel Trailer! My trailer is 25 feet long and it says max lengnth for an RV is 27ft and the maximum trailer length is not to exceed 18ft...UGH! Any advice would be great from anyone who has been to this site and tell me if this is just a manuverability issue or if the pad is not going to fit the trailer and truck pulling it. I checked out some pics online of the site and looks like it might just be a manuverablilty issue. Any advice would be much appreciated.:):)

Maximum Camping Equipment Length:
Max. Vehicle Length: 27
Fifth Wheel Maximum Length: 18
Pop up Maximum Length: 18
Trailer Maximum Length: 18

**The maximum allowable trailer length is always shorter than the allowable RV length (due to maneuverability). You are responsible for reading the site alerts and booking a site that will accommodate your equipment. If you arrive to the campground with different equipment than what you booked for, you will likely not fit, and will be turned away.**

The maximum trailer length allowed in this site is 18 feet.

That pretty much says it all.

Redo your 'search' for site with 27'....sites 20, 30 etc will accommodate 27' check availability then call and have reservation moved to larger site

Clearly you haven't booked reservation for Yosemite Valley sites lately. Today, 2/15, at 0700, reservations opened. Today, 2/15, at 0715, Yosemite reservations sold out.

OP, Upper Pines is the toughest of the valley floor CG to navigate in my opinion. North Pines is the easiest. IMO check Wawona, it is less impacted being on the South Rim and can accommodate larger TT. We get our 33' TT with little hassle.
  • My site said it would accommodate a 35' trailer and that was what I was towing. In my case, if there had been an RV, rather than a tent, in the site across from mine I would have never been able to get in or out. I connected with the folks in the tent and was relieved that their stay extended past my departure date.

I guess a lot depends on luck.
