Your favorite Texas campground?
What is your favorite campground in Texas and why? We are continuing our Texas exploration and want to try out some new campgrounds. Jim

Besides Big Bend, which is one of our most favorite places ever, we liked Tres Rios RV Park in Glen Rose, Texas--3 rivers come together there, one so shallow and clear you can walk it in! We loved the area--Dinosaur State Park (dinosaur tracks); Fossil Rim Wildlife drive-thru park (my husband and I loved the giraffes, zebras, all kinds of deer/elk and an ostrich who was patrolling as we entered and as we left); nearby towns of Hico (Billy the Kid museum) and Dublin (home of Dr Pepper).
Also, Glen Rose has an amphitheater and they have a production of "The Promise"--we were there one September.
I have relatives all over Texas and so we've made numerous trips--it is one of our favorite states!
