We are going to check out the park at Camp Wood this fall. We normally do a drive through before we plan an extended stay. One comment though, I read an internet review of the park and the latest comment was that the bathrooms weren't cleaned and the lady running the place was a grouch. As with most internet reviews, you have to take them with a grain of salt though.
It is a nice park & the lady is not very friendly or him. All I can say we enjoyed the park in October 3 years ago. It was off the path coming home from the coast to Midland and stayed 5 days. DH kayaked around the lake not to catch one fish. We had been the only campers in the park. Be sure to stock up on groceries, a small store in town or drive to Ulvade for WM or HEB. Also if you have dogs please pick up after them as they will check to see if you leave any behind. The shoreline is lined with all sort of flowers & the man is always working on it. They do have some that leave campers year round off away from the water sites. It is a very small town be sure to look it up what if offers for places to eat or shop.
