We will be heading to Yuma in a few days for a couple of days. Are there upick places for any fruits/veggies? Farmer's markets with good prices? Anything we should see do? Hiking? Should we go to...

"seems to me they could grow many things now compared to NY"....you are correct. The Yuma area grows 90% of the winter Lettuce crop for the entire country; Cauliflower, Broccoli, Onions, Spinach, Celery, Citrus, Artichokes, Wheat, Dates are just some of the crops grown/harvested during the winter...but Alfalfa is harvested year round, melons, cotton, livestock grains/grasses during the summer....I'm sure I left something out.
