Yuma

So, we are in the Blue Sky RV park in Issaquah, WA (Preston actually) until December, and they have a park in Yuma ("Same name, bluer skies"). any comments on that?

It is nice we all don't want to be at the same place. Casa Grande works for us but it isn't perfect either.

To each their own. We love Gold Canyon, as it is like being out in the country yet everything is just back up 60 a few exits. Traffic in Mesa will be similar to the West Valley that Barb talked about, that is busy. Air is better in the East Valley. The Renaissance is just on week-ends February 8 - March 30, 2014 and can be a traffic jam, however we learn to live with it.

Question? How did you make out on this that you posted last fall.

"He also won't allow any water use & said we'll have to skip showers til we get further south. Isn't this ridiculous? Do the rest of you do this? I told him I can't believe all the RVers on the road can't take showers. It's a brand new Class C with arctic package."

Try the west side of the Valley. Maybe Cotton Lane RV Resort would be a good match for you. Close to a lot of the spring training venues, lots to do on the west side, and we've stayed at this park and liked it.

We will be in Mesa in January and February.

Hate big cities with 5 lanes going crazy in each direction, don't golf, really hate shopping malls, traffic, and avoid places like Phoenix. I do like small towns, natural surroundings, ghost towns, places like Bisbee, Oatman, Jerome, and any historic cliff dwellings and historic native sites. I think Yuma might be worth a look, what do you think ?

If you have never been there, try it, then you can make your own opinion. I was there five years ago and I liked it, true, water is bad, but I've heard it is better in the Foothills. Wind? It is occasionally, it's windy, very windy in Florida at times. I Wintered in Florida, I like it better. Texas? I don't go below Dallas, and I just go there to visit mother-in-law.

Yuma is the best place on earth in the winter in the Western US.

It's a small city with all the necessary amenities. Most RV parks are gravel but we found a gem with no gravel........yes it has grass, concrete and pavement, so no daily dust.

Its rare in AZ to have a reasonable California type park. Its a mile west of downtown ........Wintergardens at 2700 W 8th St.
