We did the north rim a couple of weeks ago and stayed at Jacob Lake in the Kaibab National Forest. There is an RV park there but we booked at the NFS campground across the road and I didn't check out the rv park to comment on it.
Beautiful tall trees. There's a restaurant there, gas station, I think an inn, rv park, and NFS information building.
