I went from a 6 cu.ft. to a 10.7 cu.ft.
The new fridge is a bit over 60" tall. I had to widen the cabinet opening 3/8", remove the cabinet door under the fridge opening and relocate the "shelf" that the fridge sits on. I did also have to reroute a tank vent line that interfered with the top corner of the fridge.
The door on the new fridge does protrude from the cabinet. The fridge box is about flush with the cabinet. Very much like the pics above but mine has a bit thicker door.
Fortunately on this rig the dinette adjacent the fridge sticks farther out into the walkway than the fridge door so it is not an issue.
I do agree with the folks who posted above. This is a 22 year old trailer. I would not even consider the $1200-$1600 for a new absorption fridge. I have a generator, 2 golf cart batteries and an inverter. Why not leverage them?
