12 volt and dehumidifier

My ac to dc converter on my dehumidifier failed. It's output is rated 12v 6amps. Can I run a Eva-dry Edv-2200 Dehumidifier directly from the 12 volt outlet in my rv? When I hook it up to a 12 volt battery it works fine. I would be plugged in to shore power when in use.
