- ReneeGExplorerGreat work! Is there a sealer or polish to put on the metal to keep it from getting dull?
- guitarman023ExplorerMade some progress waterproofing and cleaning up windows. I polished until my fingers fell off.
Found some of the original paint under the eaves.
What most of the windows looked like this morning
Here's the after of one window
And here's the side of the camper I finished today. Just need to put caulk around all the seams
I also waterproofed and polished up the roof vent - ReneeGExplorerGreat pics and glad to hear you had a great time. I love the sound of rain on the top of the camper. One of the best things about being out there and like you said, no getting wet. We too have done the rain and tent thing and always had something wick the rain in.
- PortWentworthSaExplorerIt looks like you had a blast. What more do you really need in order to have a good time....Oh yeah, that first aid kit.
You should be proud of what you accompolished with that camper in such a short time. It's amazing to see the change.
Now that you have had a taste of camping with a water proof roof over your head there will be no stopping you. It becomes an adiction.
GREAT JOB!! - guitarman023ExplorerThe trip went very well, only thing I forgot was a first aid kit, which I needed. Someone in the next campsite over was cutting up wood and got a pretty nasty cut, luckily the one other person camping had a small kit in his tent and we were able to patch him up. Everything else went very smoothly. Really terrible storm saturday night, which woke me up the rain was so loud hitting the roof of the camper. I was completely dry! After years of tent camping, this was a blessing. Even with the best camping gear, freshly waterproofed tent, there's almost always some sort of water intrusion. A real blessing that I was able to be out of the rain completely and felt much safer with the storm blowing around. I'm sold on the camper way of living. I ran a 12v fan the entire trip and only lost .4 volts on the battery. Anyways here's some pics of the trip.
And one of my camping buddy - guitarman023ExplorerAll ready for her maiden voyage tomorrow morning! I packed all my gear and still had plenty of space for more. It didn't even occur to me how nice it will be to have bug spray and silverware and plates, pots pans, etc already on-board and stowed away! Pretty stoked. I'll be sure to take some "action" shots of my ugly old camper while I'm camping.

What is that line on the counter above your sink leading to the faucet? Don't tell me it's a cut line.
I was thinking about turning the sink the other way, decided against it, it was just my first outline.
Oh, good! - guitarman023Explorer

Put the light fixtures back up, finished the trailer wiring, gave the inside a good cleaning, and fabbed the block off plate for the furnace vent.

OK, came online to see what progress you have made and how your weekend caping trip went. Pics?
My one nighter is happening this saturday/sunday. then the following weekend, I'm taking it about 25 miles for a full weekend trip. I'll take pics and post them when I get back.
