Great setup! That's some serious power you have there. With a bit of modification you could run your air for short periods.
You may want to reference this from our Tech Issues forum. That's where most of the electrical stuff is posted.
I'm anxiously awaiting delivery of a 48v LiFePO4 Relion battery so I can get rid of 8 AGM batteries, and be lighter by 250lb.
Being new to the forum, I'm still learning the various sub headings and what not. I haven't had time to rummage through them all to figure out what really goes where. If this would be better suited under a different heading, I can link it there.
I'm considering wiring one of my (3) Air conditioners through my sub panel so I can run it for short periods off the batteries with the inverter. It would require a soft start module on the AC so the surge on start up doesn't potentially overwhelm the inverter. I might do it just as a proof of concept, but with the built in generator I don't really need to do it.
I'd love to go with a lithium battery bank. There are some definite advantages to them, including significant weight savings. This system will stay as is until these batteries wear out (which hopefully won't be for a long time). By then the lithium batteries should come down in price even more.
