5th wheel trailer rear hitch fab and installation
Here is the factory bumper. I intend to remove the bumber as well as those 10 inches pieces of rectangular tubing.
the new frame with hitch will be welded under the 5vers I beam. I plan to slide it under about 2 feet of the I beam, keeping about an inch from the landing gear so as not to interfere with bolts that may some day have to be removed.
The new frame will extend out 2 feet from the 5th, Im going to clad the new storage space with checker plate and will rap down the bumper for a nice factory look.
The frame is upside down in this photo, the receiver will stick out past the bumper about an inch.
