Added Some Boondock

My trailer came with a group 24 battery. Upgraded 2 years ago to group 27 and had 2 GC2 six volt on the ground hooked in parallel.

Last 3 weeks in the heat, installed 2 grape solar 180 watt panels and a 30 amp mppt controller. Ditched the group 27 that had 2 bad cells and went with a Duracell AGM group 31. Converted a storage compartment about 8 feet away and added 2 more of the same AGM with 1/0 welding cable pinch crimped and soldered the ends.

How do you like the Duracell AGM's? I am considering them for an upcoming battery switch.

I have not heard a single bad thing about them besides people complain about price vs flooded batteries, but that's like comparing a VW bug to a Porsche. They are $178 each at sams club....best price....and made in USA by East Penn.

My 2000 PSW inverter should have a better time with much less voltage sag of the 2 six volts when running microwave or coffee maker. Just finished Tuesday so have not tested under load, but I'm sure it will crank!
