I should also mention that I live in Tx, where the temps are very high in the summer. Perhaps this is a reason he doesn't think it will work.

The stuff moves alot! I personally would go with a good vinyl sheat product with a good installer. They have some beautiful products now and they really hold up well. Good luck, Bill

I have the adhesive Allure for about 4 years now. I am very disappointed as it is separating at the short seams. It is pulling apart and leaving a ugly gap on many (not all) of the short seams. Last year I cut some small strips and laid them in the openings and now they have pulled even further apart. I thought it had something to do with the extreme cold we have here, so last winter I kept the MH warm with space heaters while in storage. In the spring I noticed that the gaps hadn't grown larger, but recently they have been opening up more. I need to find my receipt and go back to Home Depot but I'm afraid they won't warrantee because it was installed in a MH instead of a house.

Ditto that to the poster that said Allure moves a lot.
I installed the snap-together kind when I remodeled our class B.
I installed in the summer, and in the winter, I had little gaps popping up in several places. Drove me nuts.
Now that it's warmer, the gaps have closed up.

Since I used the kind without the glue strips, I think it's about as bad as it's going to get. But if I were to install it again, I would install it **in the dead of winter**.

The coaches I have seen with vinyl wood-look flooring that I liked all use a sheet product.

Read the instructions that come with the flooring. It is not recommended for RVs. That didn't stop me thought and mine has held up very well.

Installed Allure 2yrs. Ago in a class C that we use a lot.. No problems. We kayak and beach so it sees water and sand. Under the sofa we put some nails in it but down the hall just made it tight. I believe it's all in the installation .

Same here, My RV was stored were it was -45 and when I went back this spring no gaps. I did leave room for the floor to float on the edge.

FYI, I went with the click together flooring in my kitchen at home. Loved the product and it's ease of installation. However, I later developed two areas where the click system did not hold the floor together, even after repeated attempts over a period of months. I finally glued those pieces together. Not something I had the time or interest in messing with. I won't use it again.

Had the Allure stick together seams flooring installed and it has separated in a couple of places. Maybe less than an 1/8". However so far the rest of the flooring is holding tight. Also I can't swear that the guys who installed it didn't leave those cracks when they installed it.

In places where I could not slightly overlap the edge then press it into place with a hand roller, I have gaps. In places where I had to slide the edges together to close the gap, it has separated some. In places where I could overlap then press it into place it is solid. Apparently over time the glue wants to move the product to its original place. I installed with the coach at 60-65 degrees and product was 70 (it was sitting in the S/B home for a month and I only moved the amount I installed that day).
