I have the RV at a repair shop having the flooring replaced due to water damage. I purchased Allure flooring at Home Depot after reading some reviews on the product. Today the guy at the shop said I need to exchange this product because it sticks down and it won't be good in the long run. He said he wouldn't stand behind it if I went with it. He wants me to get one that just snaps together.. Has anyone here had experience with Allure and how long have you had it?

I should also mention that I live in Tx, where the temps are very high in the summer. Perhaps this is a reason he doesn't think it will work.

The stuff moves alot! I personally would go with a good vinyl sheat product with a good installer. They have some beautiful products now and they really hold up well. Good luck, Bill

I have the adhesive Allure for about 4 years now. I am very disappointed as it is separating at the short seams. It is pulling apart and leaving a ugly gap on many (not all) of the short seams. Last year I cut some small strips and laid them in the openings and now they have pulled even further apart. I thought it had something to do with the extreme cold we have here, so last winter I kept the MH warm with space heaters while in storage. In the spring I noticed that the gaps hadn't grown larger, but recently they have been opening up more. I need to find my receipt and go back to Home Depot but I'm afraid they won't warrantee because it was installed in a MH instead of a house. Wish me luck!

Ditto that to the poster that said Allure moves a lot.I installed the snap-together kind when I remodeled our class B.I installed in the summer, and in the winter, I had little gaps popping up in several places. Drove me nuts.Now that it's warmer, the gaps have closed up.Since I used the kind without the glue strips, I think it's about as bad as it's going to get. But if I were to install it again, I would install it **in the dead of winter**.The coaches I have seen with vinyl wood-look flooring that I liked all use a sheet product.

Read the instructions that come with the flooring. It is not recommended for RVs. That didn't stop me thought and mine has held up very well.
