Andersen Levelers

After getting these levelers for the trailer I had to remove 1" of material from the pointed end of the leveler that goes between the wheels. I also beveled the pointed end and rounded the bottom back corner on my bench mounted belt sander.

The pull cords were added to make it very easy for my DW to pull the levelers out as I slowly back off of them. Works great.

I installed the big level on the trailed so that I can see it from the drivers side rear window. Sure makes leveling easy.

Also shown is the cheap but very effective chock that I built. Of course, one for each side.

    Andersen claims their 3604 leveler is good for 30,000 lbs ... apparently not. :R

    Not even close. They need to redesign them, in my opinion.

    Looks like Andersen exaggerates the capacity of everything they build. 32# 5er hitch rated at 24K, I don't think so.

    I would never use those levelers since they are known to break. Simple 10x10 pcs of plywood in various thicknesses worked for me for many years.

    We have the Andersen Levelers & Rapid Jack and they work great on our <7,000 TT, but I like the idea of the aluminum EZ Jack. I won't spend $130/pair just to try them out, but if my Andersen levelers or jack fail I'd give it a shot.

    I also just took some measurements and weighed the Andersen jack and they're off a little bit from what they advertise.

    I love the "pull cord" idea. Will borrow that one for my Andersen Levelers. :)

    The cords have been very handy. All she does is put a little tension on them and they pop out when they are ready.

    definitely putting pull cord idea into use, when I get the trailer off the levelers... I use mine almost all the time. so wonderful for someone who travels and sets up by themselves..
