My cameras and monitor has been working for 2 years with no problems.
Not sure what to say about the color or resolution as all I want to do is be able to see the hitch when hitching or if there are any cars behind the camper. Picture in my opinion is just fine, what one has to remember is there are so many environmental factors that effect the picture quality it changes from time of day and to corner to corner. Road grime on the camera, angle of sun on camera, lighting conditions, amount of glare on monitor and view angle of monitor all effect the picture but then again I'm not watching a National Geographic special in high definition I'm just wanting to know if someone is hiding in my blind spot or if I am far enough ahead of the tractor trailer that I can move back into the slow lane.
