Bed liner roof

So i'm thinking of using a bedliner to redo my rubber roof. there is a lot of info but all in different places. Here are the options I have:
Rhino Lines and LineX: Both good options, but over $4K, so no-no
Herculiner: Used by several people. Good reviews. Unfortunately, they don't make the white color anymore, on'y a grey.
Al's Liner: 3 parts material. Good reviews, but it can't be applied over the rubber roof and according to the manufacturer it will take 15 gallons.
Duplicolor Water-based: Easy to use but it doesn't work, it comes appart with time.

Please provide any info you can add so we can make a repository of information for posterity. Thanks.

Barney, did you cover with one coat or did you put more than one coat?
  • If I remember correctly, it cures completely in about 24 hours or so. However, it is rainproof almost immediately. The product lasts about 4 or 5 hours in the bucket after mixing in the catalyst so you have plenty of working time to get the job done.

Very easy to work with but messy if it touches anything. Will clean up with mineral spirits though. I just threw out all the brushes, rollers, squeegee, and roller handle I used rather than clean them up.

Just redid mine - Looks like it'll leak about as easy as a frog's butt :)

  • We used GRizzly Grip for our pop up truck camper after a total rebuild of the roof.

    LOVE IT!!!
PM me and I'll try to send some pictures. Reasonably priced and we over estimated ending up with 4 coats on it.
  • why not just use the dicor recoat kit less than 500.00 on ebay for a 30' trailer and get everything in one package that u need
