Best toilet for full-timing use?
I'm looking at different types of toilets and found couple of models from Dometic:
- Dometic 320: This appear to be popular and it is gravity fed. It is also reasonably cheap. Obviously, uses less water per flush.
- Dometic MasterFlush 8700 series with macerator and with flush modes, 0.85g and 0.45g. Obviously, this one allows the holding tank to be placed in other areas if needed. Not cheap.
So other than the obvious reason, what other reasons are there to go with one model over the other?
I have to admit, not having to dump black tank as often interests me, but from longevity perspective, does the more expensive model offer more? What about potential odor issues? Maintenance issues? Anything else?
I'm going to be custom building the RV, so I can choose ANY toilet and I would pay for quality/functionality but definitely not just for the look. If anyone has better alternatives than these, those are welcome too!
