Is there any way you could put a board between the two sides, get some more foam to fit between them, and make the entire back end a single bed? The space to sprawl out would be so much nicer. Then when done, remove it and you have 2 benches again? At this point, it wouldn't take much to make that happen.
I agree, this would be more comfortable.
And why not cut an opening in the "boxes" in the rear, so the contents can be accessed from the back with the doors open? It would be nice not to have to move the mattresses every time you want to get into the storage.
