I'm not going to try and do all the math, but IMO I think using your truck to perform the same amount of battery charging as say running a Honda 2000 feeding an equilivant battery charger is going to cost you multiples like 5 to 10 times the fuel. I can run my Honda 2000 on Eco for around 6 to 8 hrs on less than 1 gal of fuel.
See pianotuna's fuel estimate as an possible data point on engine idling fuel consumption.
