Charging with TV alternator... Mod with pics...

I worked out a vehicle for the last 20 years. I have used a scanguage for many years. It shows the gallon per hour. A v8 is about .5 gph. My 6.2 idles at .7 gph with a/c on. I have driven 3 hours to a jobsite, idled for 10 hours, then driven home for 3 hours. These modern engines have excellent oiling and cooling systems.

My concern is just the cost of fuel over the long term. I'm thinking at least 20.00 for an 8 hour charge.
