To me I WOULD rather put the wear and tear on a gen that costs $800 instead of a vehicle which at a min would cost $50,000 and up..
False economy on your part..
My truck is a 96 worth maybe 2K now.. I bought it for 8k with 60k miles on it 12 years ago... A new alt is about 79 bucks.
I think my economy is good...
A 1000 watt honda is 800? A 3 stage convertor upgrade is 300? Thats 1100 bucks... vs the 60 bucks I spent..
Again I am doing this to help others to see if it works as well as myself.
Although since I have a cs130D 105 amp alt there are better options.
Such as the AD244 which is a direct fit and is 145amp..
