I hardwired the power from the Intellect power distribution panel to the control center, which I located in a storage bay just below the furnace. By doing this I am able to power the unit from shore power or the genny. The most difficult part was routing wire from the panel to the controller.
The instructions that are in the kit are well written and everything is color coded.
