I replaced my fluorescent lights with LEDs some time ago and agree the instant on is a great benefit in my Toyhauler garage when the cooler weather hits. Another thing that I just read about is that mosquito's aren't attracted to the light of the LEDs- they hate something in the light, and come to think about it I do not seem to have any flies buzzing around the light either either.
