Concerns on installing tile in a Class A

So the wife would like to have ceramic or porcelain tile to areas of the main floor (not the slide area or the steps...). Primarily the area in front of the passenger side kitchen and through to the bathroom.

Any special concerns on type of material to be used, how to lay it, etc... given this is for a motorhome application?

Any help/thoughts are greatly appreciated!
  • Ceramic tile is pretty heavy. You could be adding several hundred pounds of weight, depending on the tile and the area over which you'll install it and such like. Figure carefully before going with the installation to make sure you'll have adequate carrying capacity for it and you and your stuff.

If you do some searches on these forums, there have been people who have (seemingly successfully) installed ceramic/porcelain tile in RVs.
