Converting to led lighting

Question

I am a new rv'r.  I bought 16 led light bulbs, 48 SEM on eBay.  Now that I received them the silver adapter is too small for the fixture.  Has this happened to anyone else?  I am not sure what my next move it.  My friend said cut the fixture wires and soder then together.  But I hate to take away my option to go back to regular bulbs.

What did you order?  The BA 9S will be too small to fit the standard BA15s receptical.

Hi,Do not cut the wires. Write to the seller and explain that you wanted BA15 adapters. Offer to pay for them.

Take the removed bulbs and break off the bulb portion. Using a soldering iron remove the BA9 ends and solder the BA15 ends on. If you are not in a hurry try pianotuna's suggestion.

You probably need the BA15S base, it has a single contact. There is also a BA15D base with 2 contacts. When requesting replacement bases, be specific as to which base you want. Probably BA15S, same as the BA9S bases you have except bigger.

I did the same thing. The seller does not have the BA15S bases, so I decided that I will cut off one of the bases and solder in the pigtail. That will give me the option to plug into the pigtail, or install the original bulb.
