DC Air conditioner worth it?

Thank you for all of the insight. I think I am going to go solar just to keep the batteries up. I don't think it will be practical for my current needs to try for ac. I do have a generator, looks like I'll just be using it more often. Thankfully it's getting to to look like fall.
