Dead Sharp Microwave

That Glass should be replaceable.

I called sears and they sent a repairman out for $80 and he found a $20 switch that was bad. 20 years old is pretty old though.

I've Never seen a 36" wide residential MW
Our new one, well three years old, is 29.5" , the cabinet opening is 30" wide
Every MW in the store was 30" or less
The one that died was a 1995 model and 29.75" wide

i went to Home Depot and bought a replacement

they are all the same size within a fraction of an inch width

depth and height can vary, but they will all fit in the same hole under the cabinet..over the range

all come with a NEW mounting bracket

Not all microwaves are the same width. The one that came in our Avion Platinum was 30" NOT 36".

Not so easy to find so I modified the cabinet and installed a Sharp.

In the last 8 years I replaced mine twice.

One online through Walmart

One online through Home Depot

The first one was the exact original model,
the second one was an updated model.

Measure, match and switch. It's an easy process, and the original hardware was usable.
