I am looking for a plug/play digital thermostat that will work in place of the Coleman Mach series I have in the TH...

Any suggestions?

I just bought and installed this one to my S&B's wall gas furnace. It took about 2 minutes to install and about 3 minutes to program. Working great and not expensive at all.

It is 7-day programmable with 2 or 4 settings per day which is nice.

Oh, it goes by codes not wire color so before you unhook the old thermostat you need to note the original wire locations (it comes with stickers to label to wires). Since I only have 2 wires, I just moved one and then the other to the new thermostat.

  • Not quite sure what you mean by "plug/play" as any thermostat change will require interpreting wire colour codes and what each wire does. That said, I installed a Hunter 42999B digital thermostat in place of the bi-metal Coleman that was in our previous KZ Spree. It's a pretty common mod, lots of videos on YouTube. Good idea to add your own A/C fan speed switch while you're at it. Pics of mine ...
