A new console made from (2) Oak Stair Treads.
Nicely done! - NAUTIQUEExplorerOne of the things I didn't like about our rig was the little console/cup holders way down on the floor. (It sure didn't feel safe or convenient while driving!)
My solution:
A new console made from (2) Oak Stair Treads.
I have the top front half hinged for access to inside storage.
I also refinished the original cup holder and mounted it on top, along with relocating the CB to the side and adding a plug outlet with light.

I put a pedestal mount on mine and use a small table while driving. When we camp we put a larger table on top of that one and it is supported on the dash as well as the table. It seats 3 with a folding chair and is much larger than the factory table. My dinette got taken out and replaced with real furniture. The old top got cut up and used as end tables. Very happy with this set up.
I can only partially visualize this... Can you post a picture? - TNGW1500SEExplorerI put a pedestal mount on mine and use a small table while driving. - MiPaJacksExplorerI bought a soft side one from Amazon. It was a organizer for the back seat. Works well on dog house.
- PCronin68ExplorerIts kind of a wasted space and as a driver could use some extra room for misc items
- RLS7201Explorer IIThe older Bounder had organizers on the dog house also.
