Electric fireplace

Has anyone modified existing cabinetry and installed an aftermarket fireplace in an older 5th wheel?

  • Another option is to install a kickspace heater below the range. One benefit to this is that the space under the range is 100% unused dead space and you won't lose valuable cabinet storage. There is one brand that is the exact same width as the range.

Thank You. That is really nice-looking. That's exactly what we had in mind.
  • Nice job.

I did a similar mod in my 5th wheel. Took out a drawer and a shelf area under the TV cabinet. Put in an electric fireplace. Used the electrical outlet behind the TV to plug in the fireplace.

The heat unit on the fireplace helps to keep the 5th wheel comfortable on cold nights and mornings.
  • Many have done it, and there are many posts here on the subject. Never seen anyone who referred it. Search 'fireplace' in the search box above. Happy trails!

    Edit: "regretted" it. :S
