What I have found is blankets and comforters is all that is needed at night. In the morning I use the MH furnace for 15 mins to bring the temps inside up quickly, then use the buddy heater to maintain the heat. Everyone has a different risk tolerance but I just use the buddy heater when we are awake never at night when sleeping. The portable has the advantage of moving it to the area that you need heat like in the bathroom when your wife want to take a shower.
