Thanks for the additional info, luckily I was able to simply splice into lamp wire. Our Dometic had always performed well but we camped with 4-5 kids on every trip and the constant door opening led me to these rv fridge fans. D battery powered unit simply wasn't up to the task.
Picked one up online about 7 years ago for maybe $12 shipped and it is still working fine. Really reduces recovery time as these pair of fans do an impressive job moving cooled air. Draw is minimal so no problem when camping without shorepower.
