Front cap damage...

The front cap on my 2025 Highland Open Range travel trailer has a few spots that have been cracked and slightly pierced due to hail. I am getting around to fixing those now because I am re-doing the PVC membrane and have access to the back of the cap to push through and maybe reinforce the damaged spots. There about 5 spots and they are each about 3-5 inches round all within a 2 foot long by 8 foot wide section running horizontally across the front cap.

I wanted to see what your recommendations were. The front cap is fiberglass so seeing what would be some ways to tackle this issue.

Thanks in advance y'all!

  • Insurance isn't covering this at a shop that knows how to do these repairs - possibly with a new front cap?

  • Can’t imagine “repairing “ that on a basically new rv, but will chalk it up to auction purchase and/or no insurance.
Will also assume you’re ok with seeing the damage or cracks and just want to “fix it” from the back.
You’d do that with kitty hair or fiberglass mat and resin.
how to get it there you apparently have figured out.
And with the very broad and generic “just lookin for ideas on how to do this” request ….. good luck.
