Frosted entry doors

On every rig we have purchased there is a frosted entry door. I personally would like the manufacturers to offer options. Frosted, or clear.

In one unit we had, we had a local shop replace the frosted one with a clear unit and really liked the change.

In our new to us Itasca Impulse, the view on that side of the unit from the living area is only out of a tiny kitchen window, so I can see us going to a clear unit in the door again soon.

Any comments?
  • It was not difficult to remove at all. I had the safety glass made at my local shop. Under $50
  • I have had both frosted and clear. Clear works better as long as you also have a shade. In our case, a MH the only windows on the passenger side in the living area is the small one over the kitchen sink, the entry door, and passenger window. When weather permits we leave the entry door open (with screen) but now is not that time.
  • interesting...we have discussed changing the frosted glass to clear. Is the frosted glass some sort of safety glass? if so, any thoughts on the type of business that produces clear piece replacements?
