Going to repaint stripe on FW, need primer recommendation?

I had good luck with Sherwin Williams Industrial DTM primer over both bare aluminum and other painted surfaces. It is listed for both types of surfaces.

Also check what primer is recommended for the paint.

I would go to a good auto paint Store and ask them. They will also have any equipment / supplies you may need. Additionally they can match the color of your truck. I have found them very helpful in the past.
