Good Metal adhesive ?

GE is currently advertising on TV a silicone for attaching items... disposed to be stronger than their normal silcone seal.

Go to your favourite flavour of hardware / building supply place and get some LePage's PL Premium.

If you get it good and warm, almost too hot to touch by hand, it flows / spreads really well and is easier to work with.

That stuff will stick anything to anything, permanently.

JB WELD has always been my fall back... Always works for me. Sometimes works too good haha...

I was walking around in wALMART the other day and noticed they now sell a JB gun that has both mixtures feeding it as you apply the stuff... Probably have had that along but first time for me seeing it. I always mix up a batch to use on piece of board and then apply it...

I glued an extension on one of those long pry bars and the two pieces are still together after all these years...

I have seen some of shade tree mechanics use JB WELD fixing broken metal parts to their engines... Keeps on ticking even on hot motors...

Try Amazon Canada. I did a search and came up with 4 different ones. Tried posting a link but didn't allow me to do that.

X2 on looking into 3M. I know they make a good adhesive for panels (3M 8116). Putting in some rivets to hold the work until the adhesive sets would be a good idea.

3M VHB tape, don't bother with glue or epoxy like JB

Yes,lots of metal,need to glue aluminum sheeting on metal cage,,.and dont feel like riveting it all,figured glue would be faster easier and stronger anyways as many cars sheetmetal is glued on nowadays..

Need something in tube dispenser to make straight even bead,,with good control..

Lord adhesives make just the right stuff but dont sell to general public,go figure..

Have any local sign shops around? We use lords all the time. They may sell you some and rent you the gun to apply it.

3M 5200. The surface must be perfectly clean. you have to leave it clamped for 3 days and it will take 7+ days for a "full" cure.

3M 8115 Panel Bonding Adhesive is supposed to be very similar to what the automakers use. $$$
