An extra valve would have its benefits. I only have a small travel trailer. The black tank is connected directly to it's dump valve, and the gray tank has only a short 6" section of pipe before its dump valve, then both valves tie directly into the bayonet fitting. There's simply no extra piping to install any third valve, unless I want it sticking out from the side of the RV.
