- ronfishermanModeratorI installed Air Tabs on my MH last fall. Cannot say it improved fuel mileage. But it has improved handling in wind and passing trucks.
On flat surfaces the supplied stick-on works good. Some of them on my MH are mounted on the PVC end cap. These I added a #8 sheet metal screw to make sure they did not come off. 5,000 miles later I will not take them off.
Bought mine off EBAY. Less than 1/2 price. Another RV.net member looked and found them for a similar price. I searched this morning. No listings today. - pianotunaNomad IIIHi Harold,
My install is what the air tabs folks recommend at the rear of the rv. I did have enough left over to do the air conditioner shroud and the "chimney vent" for the fridge. I don't own a camera.harold1946 wrote:

Are they just stuck on or do you have to rivet or screw them on?
They are installed with an acrylic based adhesive, double backed tape. - RetSgt7114ExplorerAre they just stuck on or do you have to rivet or screw them on?

Click on the link I have above and you'll see some pictures of various installs on RV's.
I dont need a link. I installed them on ours 4 years ago. Also had them on previous RV.
They work for controlling buffeting. I was curious about noise control since the are normally mounted on the rear of the coach. - RetSgt7114Explorer@harold1946

Hi,
I use them. Most improvement was on wind noise. I get better fuel economy with the air tabs and the wind behind me than I did without them. Going into the wind the air tabs did not seem to make any difference at all.
They don't cost much. The noise improvement made them definitely worth while.

Relative to the fuel mileage, in my case it was not reliably measureable, ie, certainly less than half a mpg. But I still recommend them for the handling alone.
